We’ve had a non-winter in Portland and winter bloom has been spectacular on Arctostaphylos (manzanita), Hamamelis hybrids (witch-hazels), Chimonanthus praecox (wintersweet), winter honeysuckle (Lonicera standishii), and Garrya elliptica (silk tassel bush) in my gardens. Twig color, flowers, and fragrance has carried me through January into February.
